Dale Hartman
About the Artist
Dale Hartman was born
and raised in Niagara Falls, New York. He began drawing as a child and has
been painting for 40 years. Though largely self-taught, Mr. Hartman received
formal art
training at Santa Monica College in California and Front Range
Community College in Fort Collins, Colorado.
He has shown his work extensively both in California and in Colorado, and has won numerous awards in regional and national shows, including two awards at the Poudre Valley Regional (Best of Show and Second Place.)
His work has appeared on
the covers of publications such as Beat,
Scene, and Salon: A
Journal of Aesthetics.
“Though I’ve worked in many different styles and media, my main focus for subject matter has always been people. They’re the hardest to do, but the most interesting.”
